Efficiency Maine would like to notify you that as of October 11th, 2022, new higher EV rebates are available for qualified moderate-income customers. In addition, the rebate amounts for any income and low-income customers have been changed.
Current Rebate Amounts (as of 10/11/22)
To qualify for the moderate-income rebate, the customer must fill out the income-based eligibility verification form and attach their most recent tax transcript. Customers who have an adjusted gross income (AGI) of 70,000 if filing individually or 100,000 if filing jointly may be eligible. If approved, the customer will receive a pre-approval letter via mail and email that they can take to the dealership to receive the enhanced rebate.
To qualify for the low-income rebate, the eligibility and process remains the same. Customers must fill out the income-based eligibility verification form and verify that they participate in the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), or MaineCare. If approved, the customer will receive a pre-approval letter via mail and email that they can take to the dealership to receive the enhanced rebate.
Thank you, and please email ev@efficiencymaine.com if you have any questions.
