Picture of Hibre Island Tides log as appeared on NPR
Lauren Sommer reporting for NPR describes an unusual source of information crucial for the understanding the future of a hotter climate. Workers at a rescue station in the island of Hilbre off the coast of England have since the 1890’s been recording the tides in handwritten logs.
