CLIMATE CHANGE ENERGY

Freezing winters, boiling summers and NO ELECTRIC BILL !!

In a recent article by Nancy Keates of the Wall Street Journal, it was reported that ” three side-by-side houses in Boston have been designed to provide clean indoor air, reduced emissions, and minimal to no energy costs.”

These houses, known as ‘passive houses,’ are certified and located in the West Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. Each house boasts 2500 square feet of living space. The main objective of a passive house is to minimize energy consumption while ensuring a high level of comfort for its residents. This is accomplished through a blend of innovative design, precise construction methods, and the incorporation of energy-efficient materials and systems.

Though passive houses typically come with an initial cost that is 10% to 15% higher than conventional non-passive houses, they offer the benefit of significantly lower operating costs over time.
